Points for People strongly believes in changing the social narrative to what we as Individuals and consciousness organizations can do for the country through one’s own actions. It has been leading from the front with its innovative, uniquely different, one-of-a-kind, not-for-profit platform to encourage Philanthropy as a culture of giving back.
Points for People is supported by Tata Trusts. Interestingly, it was recently awarded the Best Use of CSR Initiative Linked to Loyalty for the 2nd consecutive year at the 12th Customer Loyalty Awards held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Since its inception, Points for People has empowered 130 million members across the country to donate loyalty and rewards points towards social causes like Education of the Girl Child, Water and Sanitation, Livelihood, adding Cancer Care to its platform.
Enthusiastic on the recent award, Mr Brian Almeida, Co-Founder, Points for People said, “We are delighted to win the award for the Best Use of Loyalty in CSR for the second time in a row at the Customer Loyalty Summit 2019 in Mumbai. They say nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. I truly believe that it’s time for loyalty member and loyalty programs to make better use of their loyalty points for a better society. We are looking forward to many more members donating their loyalty point for the betterment of our country.”
It is to be noted that to enable Individuals to donate towards social causes, Points for People has also launched the Charity Gift Card on Amazon.in powered by Qwikcilver. It involves causes like ‘Educating a Child’, `Water and Sanitation’ targeted at some of India’s most rural communities and has empowered individuals to contribute towards the upliftment of tribal communities.
All donations directly go to the Tata Trusts for their projects in marginalized areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Orissa. These funds are utilised to power the growth of rural and tribal communities supported by Tata Trusts, across different under-served regions of India.
